The Regency Ball, sponsored by the National Park Service will be held on Saturday, August 31, beginning at 7 pm at the Niagara Event Center. Performers will interpret the War of 1812 through music of the period and dance. They will teach those attending the steps to popular dances of the 1812 period.The evening will include a period dance contest with prizes for the most authentic couple. Light refreshments will be provided by the Perry Group, and there will be a cash bar. Tickets are $25 per person, or $45 per couple. Advance tickets can be purchased here at the Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce website now. All proceeds benefit the education programs at Perry’s Victory. The NPS will also host two free two-day workshops for anyone wanting help to sew their own custome for the Regency Ball.
