Tall Ships Challenge

The US Brig Niagara, sponsored by Miller Boat Line, will be docked at Put-in-Bay during the 2013 Tall Ships Challenge. Two other as yet unidentified Tall Ships will join Niagara here.
Other ships will be docked at Catawba Island, Port Clinton, Kelleys Island, Middle Bass Island, and Canada ports Amherstburg, Kingsville, Leamington, and Windsor.
A Parade of Sail will take place on September 1 in the Bass Islands area, and a re-enactment of the Battle of Lake Erie will take place on September 2 near the battle site, located about 10 miles north of Put-in-Bay (South Bass Island).
The Tall Ships Challenge is hosted by the Perry Group with individual vessels sponsored by local ports and/or businesses.
